I get quite a few questions from unhappy AutoCAD users trying to transition to Inventor. The thing is, if you're used to AutoCAD it's so seamless and fast that moving to a parametric modeller, which is more sort of rigid in the process of modeling a solid, will feel very very annoying. Until you get used to the tools and how to use them.
"In AutoCAD it's easy for me to move a face, and replace it. How can I do that with Inventor? It doesn't seem that there's an easy way to, for example, adjust a face around an axis or plane, or a point. Can you let me know how to do it?"
Make sure you pull up the Modify panel; that's where the Move Faces tool is located.
Here's a link to the AutoDesk Inventor Tutorials: How to Move Faces on youtube:

I'll publish an HTML file / PDF version of this video shortly, in case you prefer to read about it rather than watch an Inventor tutorials video!
We have a sale all through January on the Complete Inventor Tutorials Library, which is several dozen hours in total, and if you want one of the non-bundled courses, use our coupon code "january" until Jan 31, 2014.
Also, we welcome your feedback on the new site. :)
Thanks, Rosanna - VTN
